Titus 3:4-6 When the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, we were saved . . . in virtue of God’s mercy … which God poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior…
O Emmanuel, Come~
We prepare to celebrate your birth,
your presence on earth as God incarnate.
You reveal to the world the attributes of God.
Through your goodness and loving kindness,
through your compassion and forgiveness,
through your peacemaking ways,
and willingness to sacrifice all for our sake,
you show us the path of Christian life.
May we follow in your footsteps to
make your presence
manifest and incarnate in our world today
and every day.
From the hymn “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel”
O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to you, O Israel!
